Winter Swimwear Shoot!

Last weekend, the Toros girls and I shot our Swimsuit Calendar for 2012-2013. It was a beautiful day, about 64 degrees and sunny. But the water was freezing! Thank goodness I'm used to cold water from my lifeguarding days. Eventually, you don't feel the coldness anymore and you can loosen up a little. Of course, add that to perfect hair, perfect makeup, sucking in, sticking out, smiling, smirking and looking relaxed, modeling is harder than you might think! Here are some pics from the shoot!

Austin Toros!!

I am newly a member of the Capital City Dance Team for the Austin Toros! I am SO unbelieveably excited for the season to start in December. I probably won't be able to post too many pictures, but check out these from auditions!    :)

Audition Season

Now that the Stars season is over, I have decided to venture into the world of major league sports (NFL and NBA). May 15th I tried out for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders! That was an absolutely amazing experience and I made it to semi-finals. I will definitely be back next year.

Two weeks ago I tried out for the Knicks City Dancers. I ended up making it to the 4th cut (out of 6), so I suppose that's pretty good! There was some surprise toe touches and "break-dancing," which are foreign to me. I will need to practice those moves if I want to try out next year. Nonetheless, it was very fun, and any opportunity to dance is well worth my time!

On Thursday, I leave for Los Angeles! It will be my first time in Southern Cali. I'm trying out for the Clippers on Saturday and pretttttty excited about it. Wish me luck!

Texas Stars Ice Girls!

I recently made the Texas Stars Ice Girls dance team! The Texas Stars are an AHL team, they are the minor league (farm team) for the Dallas Stars. Click here for a schedule of home games. I'm so excited for the season to start! The 2010-11 Ice Girls picture should be posted on the website in a few weeks.

Here is a compilation of most of the pieces I choreographed from 2006-2009. Once I have the DVDs of the other pieces I choreographed I will be sure to include those in the video!

"Hip Hop Company" Expressions Dance Alliance 2009

This is one of my favorite pieces that I choreographed! Chelsea Anderson helped me in choreographing "Candy Shop," "Some Cut" and the beginning and end combinations. The theme of this piece was high school stereotypes. I recorded a sound clip of all 30 girls talking before rehearsal one day and made a "classroom-esque" scene in the beginning. Then each group showed off their segment. The rockers performed "Party Like a Rockstar," the promiscuous girls performed "Candy Shop" and the nerds performed "Some Cut." This piece was challenging on the Collins Auditorium stage as we had 30 girls, 30 chairs, and little room to dance. But needless to say, we rocked out and ended the 09' seniors' last show with a bang.

"Step Up Mix" Expressions Dance Alliance 2006

I choreographed a hip hop piece to a few songs from the movie "Step Up!" This was the first choreographed piece I did entirely on my own.
